The murder of the Uber Eats driver was in DC. Need I say more? DC was the nation’s Murder Capital in the late 80’s. Maybe it’s making a comeback and, this time around, someone/everyone will protect the ferals.
My sister dated an EMT that worked DC back in the 80’s and they wore vests and would circle the block a couple times on shooting responses because the perps would bring them under fire to give the victim more time to die.
Jamaican gangs ran the show there IIRC at the time. They were a very small and insular unit controlling essentially just DC. I saw Pat Travers at a club I subsequently found was controlled by them, it was orderly and problem free. Found out later that the reason things “ran well” in their area was due to them being so small that they insured their “turf” integrity by being so feared that other east coast operations just didn’t find it worth the effort. If their turf was being violated, they just killed EVERYONE associated with the ingress, men, women and children.
