Except for people who purchase guns to protect themselves because their communities have become less safe, that institutes a much different reason than helping someone self medicate themselves , especially if that medication only allows them to escape a fearful reality that they should be able to protect themselves from without altering their minds and becoming less sober and vigilant. What karmic call comes from not defending your brothers and sisters when you have a god given responsibility to do so, slavery and death is what history proves. Of coarse, if you have no god , then i suppose what God given rights would you have?
