I don't give a flying flip if the Gross Vehicle Weight for an electric vehicle is 82,000 lbs

You wouldn't would you? Chukle
You kept insisting the gross weight for all semis was 80,000lbs.
IT ISN’T.
Legal gross weight for semis IS 82,000 lbs.
Look it up then accept it like a good boy will you?

LOL... I see you changed your argument. The article was wrong and you changed your argument because you know it is wrong. You kept defending 82,000 lbs of cargo, and that is flat out wrong. Now, you are trying to argue you were right and are using the 82,000 GVW.

If you can find a Federal Regulation that allows 82,000 GVW for electric vehicles, good for you. I googled it and couldn’t find it. It may exist. However, the Federal Law for GVW for 18 wheelers is 80,000 lbs, before extra axles and other deviations are taken into consideration. That is a fact.

This entire thread is exhibit #1 why the EV worshipers are not taken seriously. You conflate and mis-state basic facts to make EVs look really good, when in fact, they are not close yet.

Now, I WILL give you this, the electric part of the vehicle, minus the battery, IS a marvel. They will be awesome.... if we can ever figure out the terrible battery materials and charging supply issues.
