My cousin died in his recliner a few hours after he and his wife got their second shots. His wife was very ill.
The next week, there she was, traipsing off to get her third.
These people are “upper crust”, highly educated (not in basket weaving or gender studies), successful people. I was gobsmacked when I read his lengthy list of military accomplishments, honors, and medals.
What she did defies logic.

So many of us are now asking “how can they do this,” “why,” etc. I wrestle with it to the point of putting myself into cognitive dissonance and rage. And it breaks my heart. I wish I had an answer, or even some intelligent insight, but I do not. All I can do is turn to the Lord and prayer.
A buddy of mine recently shook his head and muttered “the herd is self-culling. It’s a real-life game of Last Man Standing.”
