HELLO from the desert southwest. Happy New Year!
The University of Texas Longhorns played the University of Washington Huskies recently, losing the game. My brother is a big Longhorns fan, so he hoisted the school’s flag outside his home and asked me to pose under the flag. His special request to me, was for me to give him the middle finger as I stood under the Texas flag, as he was going to send the image to a coworker who was a Washington State fan (Cougars) and the coworker wanted Texas to beat his (the coworker’s) intrastate rivals- the Huskies... hence the request for the middle finger gesture in support of Texas, and against Washington.
I, being an extrovert, decided to give a top-notch performance by crossing my arms and forming an x with both forearms, as I gave the middle finger (as requested) using both of my hands.
Upon inspection of the image where I am the subject, I thought that what I was REALLY doing was giving those middle fingers to 2023. Some might say 2022 deserved the middle fingers, but I say- au contraire... 2023, WE ARE NOT PUTTING UP WITH THE RIDICULOUS NONSENSE IN 2023 LIKE WE DID IN 2022.
Perhaps this seems childish or immature... but I can assure the reader that this writer has had it with the past nonsense of 2021 & 2022, and has absolutely no intention of repeating such bull*** in 2023. Full stop. PERIOD. This dog won’t hunt!
