Any development rushed has high risk even if done properly and for the best of reasons! If it wasn’t risky why the EUA and the exemption from damages (even information gathering!) for the developers\suppliers for X (I forget the time period!) number of years?

The risk was at best poorly communicated to the public! Then the over-the-top marketing on it - Social distance Social Distance, Shut Down Shut Down, Get a shot! Get a shot! Trump participated in the marketing! Constant PSAs on national networks, Internet & local programming. I don’t remember him being for mandates which is a plus for him if I remember that right.

A few of the Governors had the right response, Noem of SD, DeSantis of Fla & Kemp (Yes Kemp! Pains me to praise him!) of GA. I remember Trump criticizing Kemp and DeSantis for their more cautious approach - essentially the Swedish approach. I don’t remember him criticizing Noem.

In all cases verbal prudence by Trump would have been a better policy.

Then there’s letting Fauci have center stage! Fifteen minutes of research would have shown Fauci’s hyperbole & exaggeration on AIDS back in the 1980s. Where again a more prudent approach would not have placed such a loose cannon in the public eye.

I know Trump isn’t trained in the sciences and had to “trust the scientists”. Trust or not there’s always reason to be wary, He was conned. Now can’t admit it! We all were to a greater or lesser extent.

He’s going to have to start walking it all back. Somehow explain the risk was poorly communicated. If he doesn’t it will be a big hammer that will be used against him. A saying in Trump’s defense the Xidenistas did it too! Isn’t going to fly! The Xidenista participation will be conveniently forgotten!

I agree with a lot of what you said. What I have pondered lately is something I heard on War Room....I think the man’s name was Jeffrey Tucker? Not sure who he is, but he was talking about Judas Pence’s book.

The general gist of what he was saying is that Pence was taking credit for the jab. Pence was admitting that he and Fauci and Birx all worked to push their vax, convincing Trump that it was a good thing. I’ll try and find the clip. Apparently Trump was convinced by Pence and his team. I can’t remember it exactly, but I just found it so odd that Pence was jumping in and taking credit for Warp Speed. Weird.

I think Trump was in a most horrible position. Election coming up, fear being pushed on him and the world, possibility of the economy crashing because of this virus, and on and on.

At this point I don’t know what to think. Either Trump really believe the initial round of jabs saved a lot of lives (maybe just in nursing homes?) or he knows he was scammed (just like the rest of the world) and can’t accept that fact. At the time it all started, I don’t think President Trump had any idea of what a traitor his VP actually was.
