That’s what I was getting at. There’s nothing wrong with the Constitution itself. It’s still a brilliant document, but many parts of it no longer function as designed because of broad and deep corruption. The three branches function as one giant corrupt branch, and the States no longer seem to be able to hold the Federal government in check by invoking their States rights.
One of your Statesmen made an observation about “When a government becomes corrupt and abusive and descends into tyranny, it no longer serves the people, and there’s no remedy except to tear it down and start over.” That is such a bad rendition of what was actually said, but I think that was the salient point. Someone here will help me out and provide the correct quote with proper attribution.
