Wife and I chose extreme NE corner near Johnson City. They have a huge medical facility/infrastructure that fit our needs well. My oldest is in Jonesborough (sp?) which IIRC is very close to Johnson City.
Unfortunately, there isn't a specialist in Johnson City for the condition I have. That makes me sad.

Bad news. We're fairly healthy but leaving MA did present issues with finding certain specialists.
So far so good here but the NE area is well populated in the medical sciences. And really expensive by comparison.
