Many years ago the prophet got the word from God that it was okay that blacks could join the church and find salvation. I guess it was inevitable that the prophet would get the word that homosexuals would also be allowed to join.
The numero uno motivator of the Mormon church is the collection plate, and in that narrow regard they are not all so different from others. They’ve got a boatload of infrastructure and op-ex to support. They’ll say anything necessary to protect the golden plates, errrr, golden eggs. Sorry, that just slipped out.
