Yup, and it would have been hard to sink or capsize. All it needed to do was FLOAT.

Easier to construct.

BTW..the experts here that claim is had a bow like a ship forget that in that type of design you need advanced ribbing to make it structurally sound. You would need a keel...the backbone of a ship.

With the prescribed rectangular design you need only to set down trusses with bracing and build the insides so that they support the structure.

These experts havent considered the ancient Chinese designs where they had no bow, so to speak, and they supposed to have built ships at near the thousand foot range and sailed them on the pacific ocean. The problem was with those is that they were nearly impossible to get any speed and were bastards to steer.
