I was surprised to see people and memes that mentioned shingles as relating to the jabbed, because I’ve known several people who got it during this year who are unjabbed, but no jabbed ones (but that could be because I associate with more unjabbed people than jabbed.) I don’t know how I got shingles, but the friend closest to me who also got it, and I, had the mildest cases and were not in particularly close contact at any time with jabbed people that we’re aware of. So it’s either a coincidence or a mystery. My own case (an area of around 10 square inches on my upper right back) bothered me for about a week, but did not keep me from my normal activities a bit. I did use rather unconventional means to treat it, though - including homeopathy.
If unvaxxed, I wouldn’t worry about shingles. If you had chicken pox and are older and have had any measure of stress over the last 3-4 years you’re probably good to express it…
Did you ever have chickenpox?
In my case shingles was from divorce stress. Lysine is the best OTC remedy I found.
Just the present day stress has caused additional shingles outbreaks, minor compared to 25 years ago during divorce.
