If you want to attack Trump or point out what you see as his shortcomings then you need to talk about him and whatever you want to say and document, but trying an impossible comparison of a 1980 president to the 2016 president just doesn’t work.
Everything was too different between those times.
Sure, Reagan had the tougher environment when he took over, and I assume you are old enough to remember it.
He also did not have a starting point of military superiority, nor full acquiescence of Europe (remember the anti-missile sentiment?).
He built ALL of that with Thatcher.
Trump had it a LOT easier as a starting point and I don’t see how the sycophants here can argue that.
