Are the titles of those threads anything other than strange?

At any rate, the various threads on it have come a long way since the first drop in 2017.

On the denial of certs, this from Cornell seems to apply, and I'm interpreting to mean that there is no such thing as a 'pocket denial' - that is, it will be answered in written form one way or the other:

3. Whenever the Court denies a petition for a writ of certiorari, the Clerk will prepare, sign, and enter an order to that effect and will notify forthwith counsel of record and the court whose judgment was sought to be reviewed...
