We need a crypto guy who knows politics as well to tackle this one it gets a bit too technical for me.

First, a DISCLOSURE: I am not a crypto fan and never have been.
Second point: America never asked for a currency that would facilitate kidnappings, child trafficking, contract killings etc.
Third point: FTX was a totally unregulated "Bank" run by a narcissistic nincompoop who imagined his every whim to be somehow aligned with the insane "Effective Altruism" philosophy, a veritable agent of the "Future" ... sigh ... and apparently sane people were taken in by this mess.
Some things never change.
