It was the embodiment of the “generic ballot.” The voters know he will be replaced by his wife, or someone else who did not have to campaign. Then they can run as an incumbent. Neat trick. And Oz was a terrible choice.
I knew Oz was not the best choice.
I did not agree with Oz on a number of issues.
But as Rudy said, to paraphrase, if you agree with me on 7 out of 10 issues, vote for me. If you agree with my opponent 7 out of 10 issues vote for my opponent. If you agree with me on 10 out of 10 issues see a psychiatrist.
I gave Oz the money I could, even though I am not in his state.
