But people had enthusiasm for Fetterman?

In fairness to PA voters, the Fetterman/Oz debate was held after half the voters had already voted. Dems and the media kept Fetman pretty well hidden until then. Oz had the momentum late in the race, but there wasn’t enough time to catch up by election day.
Among his base Fetterman had 50% higher support than OZ did in his. so yes, yea they did.
OZ was a crap off brand candidate, period.
If you believe he had a shot at winning you are a fool, or more likely you listened for flappy lipped moron pundits out of NYC and DC who told you how PA “operates” over people on the ground in PA like me who told you the truth but you refused to hear it.
The entire OZ Campaign and folks arguing for the carpetbagging fraud boiled down to “yea OZ is a lousy candidate but at least he’s not Fetterman”… and they think they are going to get more than 2/3 of independents with that crap argument? And those same people seem to not be able to comprehend that the same argument could and was being made by the other side. “Sure, Fetterman’s a lousy candidate, but at least he’s not OZ.”
It’s nothing more complicated than simple math,
46% d
39% r
15% I
A D need only hold their base and get less than 1/3 of independents and they win in PA.. a lousy/mediocre D can win state wide in PA…
an R needs to hold his base and get more than 2/3 of the independent votes and/or peel off a good number of moderate and conservative democrats to win… because of this a lousy/mediocre Republican can’t win in PA in a statewide race…
OZ was an absolutely lousy and off brand candidate, he actually overperform does significantly because of Fetterman’s health meant he couldn’t campaign like he should.. that’s the only reason this race was only 3 points.. had Fetterman been healthy OZ would have lost by 6-8 points easily
OZ was a crap candidate, period. Run a crap candidate get a crap result, period
