Democrats play chess, while republicans play checkers.
Here’s one republicans may not have thought of.
Democrats have ‘managed’ to retain the senate, and they were going to do so one way or another.
Democrats are also trying, and may succeed. to retain the house.
In governors’ races, they (democrats) didn’t do so badly either. But, they managed to do what they have been trying to do for close to 7 years against Trump. Well, they haven’t done it yet, but, it’s in their plans.
Democrats have been trying to get rid of Trump in many ways, with some of the ways highly illegal, but, they’ve escaped being held accountable.
Florida is (or might be) part of their plans.
In Florida, DeSantis won by a landslide, and people are rejoicing, and perhaps nobody is celebrating more than democrats. They now have the man who they hope/expect to keep Trump from the presidency. No better way to elevate DeSantis than to have him win BIG. Democrats have their man. DeSantis is their ultimate ‘get Trump’ card. They may succeed in fulfilling their destroy Trump dreams. They could not get him any other way, so now, they have what they hope the only weapon that can get rid of Trump. DeSantis was expected to win Florida, but not so BIG, and the BIG win may have been part of the democrats’ plan. Everybody is now looking for DeSantis to go against Trump, and nobody could be happier than the democrats, especially Schumer and Pelosi and Schiff and Nadler and Liz Cheney, and the FBI agents who worked so hard to eliminate Trump from the presidency and as a candidate and from politics altogether.
Desantis is the “bait and switch” candidate. That is the plan. The Dems think they can beat him outright, but failing that, he is Ivy league material that they know they will shape into a good little globalist.
You need to get out more. Go visit some liberal forums.
The Left absolutely does not fear Trump. They see him as a sure loser. The chatter now is that maybe Garland should hold off with indictments as to not put anything blocking his ability to declare his candidacy. They want Trump on the top of the ticket because they correctly believe he has no chance.
What they fear most is that Trump bows out and someone like DeSantis or Youngkin steps up. Someone a bit "Trumpy" but without Trump's baggage and who isn't toxic to independent voters.
The leftists plan is to split the party into a fight between Trump and DeSantis.
Expect the fraud machine to go into high gear to have DeSantis win the primary. This is what the leftists want because they know Trump will not back down and is not afraid to call out fraud where he sees it. They hope this will throw the party into chaos going into the general election.
Trump is the rightful President and the party must unite behind getting him re-elected (reinstated) to that position.
Does anyone imagine DeSantis going hard against the establishment and rooting out the evil in control of our government like Trump will?
Ryan, McCarthy, McConnell, etc. all wanted UT too and likely are complicit.
