Ella Halikas says a bouncer told her and fellow “curvy” model, Alexa Jay, that they couldn’t follow their friends into The Highlight Room in Hollywood.
“(Alexa) asked him ‘Hey what’s going on? I’m actually with that party you just let in,’ and he said, ‘I know,’ and looked her up and down and said, ‘Not tonight,’” Ella said.
“It was so dehumanizing,” said Alexa. “It was like we were being looked through. If you experienced any type of discrimination like this, you know exactly how horrible and disgusting it feels and we are no longer letting this fly.”
The women believe this problem goes beyond one nightclub.
Halikas says she has received thousands of messages from other plus-sized women sharing similar stories of being turned away from bars and nightclubs.
“One of my plus-sized friends went to a club in New York City and they said, ‘Everyone else can come in,’” said Halikas. “They let in all her thin friends, got to her and said, ‘You can’t get in.’ She asked, ‘Why?’ and he goes, ‘If you want to come in, pay $4,000.”
“It felt like we were alone,” said Halikas. “It felt like we were plucked out of a crowd and I just felt like we need to share this because it’s not about us not getting into the Highlight Room, we don’t care. It’s the bigger picture of how many girls face this every single day. It was discrimination – 100 percent.”

“It felt like we were plucked out of a crowd...”
Right - like with a forklift!
Move along fatty and head to the nearest bowling alley.
I didn’t read the article for fear there might be some photos. But we all know what “curvy” is a euphemism for.;-)
This is misleading...I like curvy women, but not spherical women. So tired of the cultural push to accept this unhealthy lifestyle these women have.
Worse, there's video...
Now she knows how 85% of all men in their late teens / early 20s feel when they venture into the dating market.

“Model” is a self-defined job category like “YouTube Influencer,” “Commentator” or “Political Strategist.” Just because you aspire to be a model doesn’t mean anyone is pointing his camera at you.
Some resemble oblate spheroids.

Well, I'm a political activist, like Obloviate was in his Chicago days, so I feel entitled to sneer at these poseurs.
Regards,
Hollywood is as far left as one can go. So, Hollywood clubs are just exhibiting how the Left feels about curvy women.
Gluttony leads to sloth. Both are sins. Lose weight.
1. The bearing load of the floor.
2. The narrow widths of the exits.
3. Undue strain on the bar stools.
4. Limited amounts of peanuts and chips.
5. Disabling injuries to male patrons as a result of doing "the Bump".
The list could go on and on.
I looked at their instagram video

The one on the left is heavy, but has a cute face. The one on the right would cause guys to lose all interest in coming to the club.
They refuse to understand that the club stays solvent by having lots of cute girls there for guys to spend money buying drinks for.
I looked at a number of sites about this article and not one word was ever said about size. Every bit of that was from her, not the “bouncer.” So she was, maybe, guessing that’s what it was and used it to get some ink.
There are a number of things that could have qualified:
Stupid, ugly, badly dressed, too short, too tall, bad makeup, odor...a lot of things. But picking one out that has high value to threaten and using it like this is beyond reasoning bordering on just flat lying because you didn’t get your way. Wa, Wa.

If only you could become an OPINION LEADER.
That's for sure. I remember a really funny series of Doonesbury cartoon where a woman complains that after she reached a certain age men stopped looking at her. The guys in the cartoon (who were all invisible) were like, "Oh yeah? Welcome to the club!"
