Seems like it would be very odd if Lake won but Masters does not.

Not really, Lake is about 4-5% higher than Masters

No, Lake and Hamedah are running 5 points ahead of Masters & Finchem, who were horribly demonized in ads showing “insurrection” and “election denial.”
Lake was a very well known person and the attack ads didn’t stick: “I know her. She isn’t like that at all.” But Masters was not.

I figured it would be that way. There a lot of people starstruck by the astronaut, that aren’t by sKarie.

Lake is definitely more likable and her opponent had a lot of problems.
Masters opponent was stronger and better funded.
As far as Finchem, he is not at all good candidate. I have never thought he could win.

Not at all. Lake is an exceptional candidate. Masters is a good candidate. Hobbs is not very bright and refused to debate Kari Lake. Kelly is an incumbent Senator who presents himself as independent and bipartisan (it isn't true, but some people buy it). Masters has a sound bite where he uses the word "privatize Social Security". That cost him some votes, too.
