Trump launching attacks on Republican candidates in the middle of an election is the final straw. What is he thinking?

Trump celebrating O'Dea's loss to the Democrat is...stunning. It's not all about Trump for me - as a citizen, politicians are supposed to work for me, I don't work for them. I wanted Republican control of the House and Senate because, as bad as even the RINOs are, they're still less destructive than Democrats. What is Trump thinking when he cheers a Republican losing and goes after DeSantis for backing that Republican?
