A dog will give you some of the happiest days of your life, and one of your worst. I pray that your worst with this poor pouch is not soon. You need time to heal from you other loss and time to say good-bye. Yes, there must be dogs in Heaven, or it just isn’t fair.
Years ago I sent a photo of my Wonder Dobe, Tito, to an “animal communicator”, expecting little more than new age fluff.
*However*, she stunned me into tears by sending a drawing of something she “saw” the dog seeing, and even though her art skills were pretty bad, it was obviously my horse, Rebel, the buckskin that I used to ride all the time, with Tito running along side.
She sent her “impressions from Tito” and they were “running, running, running, pine trees” and whatever that animal was that she had drawn.
I sat and cried for an hour in a parking lot, after reading that.
I used to ride Rebel through a huge, secluded and pretty much defunct “ Christmas tree farm” on the back road from my house and that is just what we did.
I let Rebel have is head and he’d fly up and down the hundreds of acres of pine trees, with Tito running joyously along.
No one knew about those rides, except me, the dog and the horse.
I *knew* she had “spoken” to him somehow and he was somewhere [Heaven?] totally conscious and my horse was there, too.
Sounds insane, even to me, but as I said NO ONE else knew about those rides of my youth.
