It’s intended to be a convoluted mess with the intent of diluting one man one vote and Republican conservative voting. Alaska is the only ‘conservative’ state that has it, thank you Murk. Maine does also. There are many cities, municipalities in liberal states that use it. Maybe someone in Alaska could challenge the constitutionality of RCV? IMO allowing RCV is one step closer to a democracy not a Republic and that is the intent of those that support the implementation of ranked choice voting.
