Two R candidates split vote giving D the victory. That in a nutshell is Ranked Choice Voting, divide and conquer. If either Bergich or Palin were the only R candidate the D would not have won.

You would think that there would be a runoff of the top two because nobody was above 50 percent. How did a backward voting procedure like this get passed into law in a Republic?
