Even here in Lee County, AL, there have been “glitches.” Only one of the 6 “poll pads” at my precinct was functioning properly for a period of time this a.m. - A poll pad is the electronic device where the poll worker enters a voter’s name to verify registration, and then the voter signs electronically to receive a paper ballot. Once the ballot is completed, the voter places it into a type of scanner machine.
On a positive note, perhaps, I was unable to access the WiFi like I did over the weekend and yesterday from the precinct parking lot.
I just felt compelled to say this to you all today. No homo.
Thanks for the new thread, MQD. I’m in, and just got back from the polling place. Not crowded, no waiting, but my poll worker was slow as molasses, so I took 5 minutes longer than my husband. Paper ballots; I was disappointed that I had to sign in with my finger, though. Who can do a proper signature like that?

A random thought - could the cyber security experts be white hats? Could they be purposely stopping the switching of votes and that is why the “machine’s aren’t working?” So the Democrats are between a rock and hard place. If machines aren’t working they can’t cheat and they have to go with paper ballots.

Voting update fro the OC:
Heavy rain this morning. Will it quell voting?
There was a steady stream of people at my polling location, despite the heavy rain, but no line and not every booth was in use.
We filled them out on paper, then scanned them in. No recap of your vote before tabulating, just a thank you. No idea if it was changed at that point.
You had to read the directions to know the boxes needed to be filled in completely with black or blue ink. That instruction was NOT given orally when you received your ballot.

I don’t know about elsewhere, but here in my Palm Beach County precinct, we typically have paper ballots. Machine counted, but we actually mark on them with a pen. Which they give us as a souvenir afterwards. It says “I Voted”... in RED. Take that, Democraps! 😂
