It would erode her credibility, and thereby her utility. If Trump is going to run with another governor, it must be someone who’s served a full term and is a known quantity. Lake is a ground gubernatorial candidate, and one day she would be great as a VP, POTUS, or at least a Senator. But 2024 would be premature for any of those aspirations.
