Trump at a rally tonight (11/5) sums up his competition, and refers to Ron Desantis as "Desanctimonious"

Twitter is not Research. Twitter is a Leftist Propaganda site. No one with an ounce of Conservative Integrity would ever consider Twitter as a valid source of credible info.
As I stated, previously, another Freeper posted a clip from Fox News and I watched that. President Trump did indeed say what was asserted.
That said, President Trump is a calculating man. He says things such as that to send a message. A shot across the bow if you will.
It is extremely likely he is privy to something Desantis would not want to become public knowledge.
President Trump is very likely sending Desantis a subtle message that he is aware of whatever it is and is letting him know he knows.
In Trumps world this is SOP. The subtle warning first. The hammer later.
I wish DeSantis would stop endorsing candidates who pledge not to support Trump in 2024.
DeSantis asked for push back from Trump -— or made a strategic blunder. Either way this is self-inflicted by DeSantis and he deserves no sympathy for Trump’s reaction -— nor does Trump deserve a scolding or a lecture

That about sums it up for many of us.
Two possible reasons.
1.)They are unaware of what happened last week with O'Dea on CNN trashing Trump, and then DeSantis returning the favor and endorsing O'Dea.
2.)They are probably married to a Karen or they work with a bunch of Trump haters and they have been browbeaten, and they have been waiting for an excuse to dump Trump.
Because 1) “Desanctimonious” isn’t a word anyway, so the meaning you’re ascribing to it doesn’t exist, and 2) Trump has never been that linguistically subtle or creative. His nicknames in these contexts have always been intended as derogatory.
“however, it’s likely President Trump was responding to the latest, well, rather cringy campaign ad from the Florida governor’s campaign, “Ron is God.”
So, it is now coming out as to what President Trump was referring to. If this report is accurate about a Desantis Campaign AD then President Trump was totally justified. Ron is God? Really?
I had similar thoughts and for now will give 45 the benefit of doubt.

I liked DeSantis when he was in congress. He got bolder as governor. He’s done well.
There was some musings few months ago .. DeSantis maybe running for President against Trump.. No .. don’t do that!.. you are young.. there is time later.. let Trump get his 4 yrs.. he has some finalizing to do. He can’t quit, run out by dims stealing and all of gov corrupt, attacking Trump. Let him take care of those who need a trip out.
And we need Trump to undo the mess from biden and co.. quickly.
We cannot let a Republican finish the dims dirty work and keep Trump out after they took him out.. its unfinished business.

He is tall.. big man. When he walks on a room, he is noticed. When in Europe the leaders followed him.. he was the one they wanted to meet.
When he was younger he had a reputation..rich man and some women do like rich men.
He is a man, knows who he is and sometimes bragidocious..he is comfortable on his skin.. sure of himself.
On the other side, he gives and helps many. He loves this country and is not afraid to have prayer around him. He dies what he feels is right and those who hate him deal with their hate.. he’s okay..
His sons love him.. he cares for his own.. had them working instead of giving them everything. He did not receive the Pres pay.. he gave it away.. never received any.
I will end.. I could go on.
Give him a break.. he’s still standing after all the powers of the gov tried to get him

Trump’s comment was unnecessary and he probably did NOT even know the word could be defined as you’ve suggested. The “De” was simply referring to the first part of RD’s surname!

I came to the conclusion months ago that DeSantis is definitely NOT an avid supporter of DJT.
I once saw one of William "Bill" Cody's business cards. It had the inscription "True To Friend And Foe". That's Trump. He's not going to let DeSantis or anyone else get off with a slight. I can't spare the man; he fights.
I disagree with everything you seem to be about.
