This Chris Farley addressing the Republican caucus on the occasion of the first 100 days of Republican control of the House, and the passage of the Contract With America.
Excellent video!
Back then a celeb like this could be friendly with the Republican side of the isle and it was no big deal. Nowadays they would be immediately cancelled.
In one of his last interviews Norm Macdonald commented that parody is dead because now it isn’t done in jest but instead to be mean and vindictive.
Awesome. Thank you for posting this.
I have never seen this. Thanks so much for posting. Sunny Bono sing I got you Newt.. lol
Its funny how the world at that point was the end product of decades of a Democratic controlled congress yet if you asked them today they would usually say things were worse than they are now in most contexts.
Thanks for posting.
I had forgotten how good this was.
And yes, it’s even better because of the solely Left-caused divisiveness we see today.
This would never happen today, although, if he were alive, Chris Farley might still try. He had some serious stones.
I do sense the pendulum swinging back our way, but we MUST take back both the Senate and the House on Tuesday.
VOTE VOTE VOTE !!!
He had real talent. In the same way Tim Conway was an impediment to the cast of The Carol Burnett Show getting through any sketch he was in without cracking up, Chris Farley was said to have the same effect on the cast at SNL.
I love his movie “Tommy Boy”.
Motion to make Sen. Mark Hatfield from Oregon officially a democrat say AYE!
LMFAO
