I think the point of ransomnote’s Post 1H suggestion to include an excerpt in our replies is to avoid having to click on anything to understand the reply to a post. MQD does a lot of work to make these threads readable, informative and continuing. Accommodating such a small request is the least I can do to thank her for her tremendous efforts. YMMV

Sometimes, when I get lazy, I try to remember to answer in a complete sentence, like the Dominicans taught me. That way I’ve included enough information in my answer to give the reader the gist of the original post.
I’ve gotten bad about it and will try to do better. The nuns are always watching.
