I have the code for images committed to memory. It is img src=”” as displayed, minus (here) the <, & >, respectively, that goes on each end of the sequence.

The problem is when the image link has some kind of unrecognizable “lingo” that is not decipherable with regards to verbiage or code related to sizing- ie: small, medium or large, which in my “mind’s” example is absent, or... a numerical sizing that can be divided by an equitable ratio, which again in my “mind’s” example is absent. The numerical example would be something like this: 1,200 width x 600 height.

I can figure out how to change a word like “large” to “medium” (duh) to affect a size change or... using another ex: 1,200 x 600 converted to 900 x 400 would equal (1/3rd reduction in size) or 600 x 300 would equal (1/2 reduction in size) but sometimes, there are neither numerical values nor “sizing” verbiage present in the HTML code so one cannot easily change the image’s size by exchanging lower numbers or swapping size descriptive words.

I have gotten lucky a few times by slipping into the HTML code an arrangement of words or numbers inside the lesser than and greater than symbols, with the proper amount and correct location of, quotation marks.

Maybe some image properties have a type of code that is resistant to manipulation?

I hope this is not too muddled up of an explanation for where I am in my struggle to format an image to a “friendlier” display size.

I have also gone to HTML “sandboxes” as a first choice for help, but the authors of most sandbox articles have one common denominator, their explanations are almost always varied and lack the “in depth” walk-through type of instructions needed for instructing a neophyte.
