Hey Rusty, I’m doing okay! I definitely miss him, but after seeing him suffer so much, I cannot say I am sad because I know he is healed.
I would say I don’t know what to do with the extra time, but I am getting ready for the holidays and we’re hosting so lot of planning and such. Plus catching up on barnwork

You have expressed how I feel about all of it. Here in GA, the same folks who either ignored (or facilitated) the fraud are still in office and obviously not interested in fixing things.
I can’t get excited at the moment because I feel like something has to change, and I don’t even know what or how to even start. The problem isn’t the candidates or getting out the vote, or not having enough observers, the cheat is deeper than that and harder to fix from an individual level.
well, the drug to bring back OD victims is now suggested to be carried by every one. I suppose pharma is making money.

We have some height in our family, but, I think 6’6” is the tallest.
I did not get any of that height, but, I’m still a few inches taller than you!

Good you’re keeping busy. You will miss him for a long time, but it is good he is no longer suffering. Remember the man he was before he got sick.
After my dad died, it took me 2 years before I could listen to Patsy Cline. I would talk to him a lot, still do occasionally.

I can imagine, Rusty! I had all his CD’s converted to MP3s (some 500 songs) and I put them on a player that played them in a loop. I still hear those songs in my head!
In some ways since half of the time I knew him, he had dementia, I think it is easier for me because I didn’t know him when he was young and full of life. In other ways, I miss the “version” of him in dementia maybe more than some of his children, because he was affectionate, holding hands, wanting hugs, singing, etc. He was not like that when his kids were growing up. My hubby and I got to experience that special time with him. I’m was a little sad his other kids missing that but at the same time, they choose not to come around much. His daughter saw him twice in 5 years, and called maybe 3 times, his son saw him a couple of times a year but he did call every week.

Oh, that’s sad his other kids didn’t see him much. But they may have their reasons. My good friend took care of her MIL for years until she couldn’t any longer. and she worked full time, taking her to elder daycare.
One of her BIL lived in town, and the other a few hours away. If she hadn’t demanded they take care of her mother when she or they were out of town, they probably wouldn’t have seen her much.
I think some may think the parent wouldn’t know the difference, or it’s too hurtful to see them like that.
