From the sounds of this, 1972 wasn’t a great time to be a Beach Boy. The sound reminds me of “America” or early “Eagles”, but slower and less musically interesting. There might be a good reason it wasn’t released earlier.

Ehh. Probably better to have stayed in 1972.

Often these songs are left off the albums for a reason. This was not too bad, but I can see why it was passed over.

Unlike Bob Seger, who left excellent songs constantly off his albums. Wildfire, Days Like the Rain Would Come & Can’t Hit the Corners No More would have been top 5 hits!

Seems like we will never see the end of unreleased songs, outtakes and bootlegs from popular bands. I think Bob Dylan is on Volume 17 of his bootlegs.

Seems the trend now is to re-release studio albums in "expanded" editions that have all the original track plus a bunch of extra stuff.

Not too long ago, Fleetwood Mac released an 84-track reissue of "Tusk" - the original "Tusk" from 1979 has just 20 songs. Now that's one of my favorite albums of all time but expanding it to nearly 100 tracks including EIGHT different versions of "I Know I'm Not Wrong" is just CRAZY.
