You are correct, she gets Capitol Police protection not SS. I would think they would have some of the detail at her residence when she is not there and that her husband and possibly any minor children (she doesn’t) would also be extended protection. But I don’t know officially.
Sorry for the confusion on my part, I made an assumption when I shouldn’t have.
It’s funny, I made the same erroneous assumption a couple days ago (that the Speaker would get SS protection). I looked it up because I wasn’t sure and that’s when (to my surprise) I found out it is the Capitol Police who protect the speaker. I was very surprised by that.
