The assailant who violently assaulted Nancy Pelosi's husband with a hammer on early Friday morning was looking for the speaker herself when he broke into their San Francisco home, shouting 'Where is Nancy? Where's Nancy?'
Speaker Pelosi was in Washington D.C. when Paul Pelosi, 82, was brutally attacked. He was taken to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and is undergoing brain surgery, NBC News reported. The speaker's office said he is expected to recover.
San Francisco Police Department identified the suspect as 42-year-old David Depape. He will be booked at San Francisco county jail several charges, including-attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, and several other additional felonies.
Depape entered the Pelosi residence through a sliding glass door at the back of the house. Aerial footage showed broken panes of smashed glass at a door to their home.
His target was Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Instead, Depape found her husband of 59 years.
He confronted Paul Pelosi, yelling: 'Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?.' Depape tried to tie up Paul Pelosi 'until Nancy got home.' When police arrived, the suspect told them: 'We're waiting for Nancy,' CNN reported.
San Francisco Police Chief William Scott indicated there was some type of confrontation between the two men involving a hammer. But it was unclear who the hammer belonged to - if Depape brought it with him or if Paul Pelosi had it for defensive reasons.
Scott said when his officers entered the home, they 'observed Mr. Pelosi and the suspect both holding a hammer. The suspect pulled the hammer away from Mr. Pelosi and violently assaulted him with it. Our officers immediately tackled the suspect, disarmed him, took him into custody, requested emergency backup and rendered medical aid.'

That place is as secure as Fort Knox BANK ON IT!! Pauli was up to no good and invited this person over to the house!! Pauli’s drivers license has been suspended and I don’t think he would have a driver take him to a hotel somewhere easier to bring the trash home, Nancy is in Europe!!!

That seems to be a most logical scenario, but if it’s true I doubt that will ever be made public.

So a guy wearing his own underwear waddles into a house, expecting to find a tool, maybe a hammer, so he can beat up on the drunk who lives there——at 2 or so in the morning? Yeah, sure. And tell me again who called the cops who seem to have been very close by? If Ol Paul had been in jail where he belongs, this wouldn’t have happened Maybe hammer guy lives in the guest house? And why does Pelousy own a hammer? For nailing down stock deals, maybe?
