A man from Miami, in southern Florida, burned about 40 pairs of Kanye West brand shoes, worth about $15,000, in protest at recent anti-Semitic and racist statements by the American rapper, such as US media reported on Wednesday.
Daniel Schiff joined the wave of rejection that Kanye West's comments have provoked with the burning of footwear from the Yeezy brand, owned by the rapper, which he acquired in recent years, as he recorded in videos he posted on his social networks .
The man pointed out that the controversial statements by West, who changed his official name to Ye, can "cause damage, injury or even death."

As long as he paid for them, he’s free to do whatever he wants with them, including destroy them.
So he just made the remaining Kanye shoes rarer and therefore more valuable..

I don’t think so. The one statement I saw from him said something like “blacks are also Hebrews”, not “only blacks are Hebrews”.
He’s still wrong, but a different flavor of wrong I guess.

I buy Japanese brand Mizuno for $ 50 and they last for years wearing regularly .
I bet the stores don’t care if he wears them or burns them. Burning might be preferable since it requires more shoes.
