😌 I see your point - but two points of my own: it is a harmless procedure and hospital rules; second, I didn't even think about it - I was in no condition to be a soldier. Besides, I knew I didn't have CoViD!
What I was fighting for was fluids! The wall chart said 'nothing to drink' and the nurses said they had no orders for fluids. I asked if this was the new treatment for severe dehydration: withhold all fluids until either the patient dies (proving that he DID have severe dehydration) or the patient spontaneously recovers (proving that no treatment was necessary.)
That being the case, there was no apparent reason for me to be there so they could discharge me. 😡
The last time I called an ambulance with severe dehydration the drivers set an IV and administered a 'bolus' - a shot of electrolytes. This time they just got irritated that I threw up unexpectedly, partly missing the vomit pouch that I had already requested.
I see medicine just ain't what it used to be. Perhaps I should have asked for a sex change procedure.
Hey Bob. First off I say I am glad your out.
Second I say, glad you’re out and God bless.
