I am opposed to ANY extension of the voting process, any expansion of mail in balloting, or any relaxation of any limitations.

If people cannot get off their asses on ONE SINGLE DAY to exercise their right and duty as a citizen, they shouldn’t be allowed to vote, PERIOD. (with the exception of people who will not be able to vote on that day due to travel, military service, or confirmed infirmity.)

FULL STOP.

That may be your personal preference, but the reality is it is no longer operative. Election Day is now election month. The reality is the democrats get their voters to the polls early, so on election day, they don’t have to worry about driving Mrs. B to the voting booth. On election day, they can then work to get the lower propensity voter to the polls, while the republicans scramble to get all their voters to the polls in just one day. The Republicans are at a logistical disadvantage.

This was the way it was understood how to work for decades.
