There is clearly a conscious being there. What is the soul? Does anything not a soul have consciousness? Or does consciousness emanate from the soul? To me it’s clear.

The soul is the part that can't be explained by the matter and chemical processes that make up life. The soul is immaterial. I believe it is the seat of consciousness but is also much more than that.
I find it amusing that "science" cannot explain consciousness from a materialistic perspective. There is absolutely no way to get consciousness solely from the physical processes of the brain. At least no way that science can come up with. This is strong evidence for an immaterial part of every one of us.
