While there may have some CIA participation, the 2014 uprising was essentially a popular one because of Yanukovych had reneged on an agreement with the EU that had already been approved by parliament and had attempted to bind Ukraine in an economic union with Russia. It is pure myth to say that this was just a CIA operation. Furthermore, there have been two presidential elections since then. Crying "2014 coup, 2014 coup" does not justify Russia's invasion; the present government was not installed by that uprising.
