I watched the first part of an interview last night with Jim Semivan (former CIA officer, now a kind of UAP researcher). He said he has no idea what we're dealing with here, but, whatever it is, it is significantly more than UFO/UAPs. He cited Jacques Vallee in stating that this "thing" has been with humanity since the very beginning. It is deceitful and trickster-like (in a Jungian way...video link at time of this discussion).

As others have said, this thing appears to be part quantum mechanics and part consciousness.

Though he didn't admit it (he was raised Catholic but is now a non-believer), his description was identical to what we Christians would describe as non-Godly spirits (not necessarily demons or fallen angels...yet).

I have read several of Vallee’s books and seen or heard him interviewed a number of times. My guess is that since Earth and humanity are inherently interesting to other forms of intelligence, extraterrestrial alien life of various types have been visiting and had bases here or nearby for millennia. Moreover, our universe likely intersects with other universes that also have intelligent life that can and do punch through to our reality. And human and nonhuman spirits can manifest as well. In short, much is going on and no single explanation suffices.
