Agreed. I was trying to isolate the "Hard need" for USD, meaning there is no possibility of substitution unless the current players surrender (i.e., oil producers in U.S., UK and their protectorates in the Mideast; U.S Navy et al.; and U.S. taxing authorities).
This is basically what the entire U.S./China geopolitical struggle is about. Crypto is useful for underground and criminal economy obviously, but in the above-ground world such as you also mentioned, crypto is as significant as a fart in a windstorm.
