One thing that occurs to me is that one does not have to get recognizable coins assayed when trading them... i.e. pay an assay fee.

Coins may be collectible or bullion. I buy bullion coins like US Eagles or Canadian Maple Leaves. PR likes collectables or "Junk" silver coins.
