I was a huge reader as a kid, then became a teenager and everything bored me lol, except riding my bike to the beach and back.

When my sons were little, I thought I should start reading to be a good example to them.. and I just didn’t have the comprehension. So, hahahaha, seriously I started reading Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, then I started collecting first editions! Have a nice collection.

Now I read every night. My kids bought me a kindle and I went nope. Then my husband bought me a kindle fire tablet (which I always translate to “book burning slate”) and I’m honestly hooked.

I used to have a stack of books by me at night that I’d read, but this makes it easier for me. My last yellow lab ate my really good Bible (I have to laugh) and I have it packed in a box somewhere, so I bought about 4 bibles for the kindle. I really liked the bible my dog ate, I got it when I turned 16, but I can’t remember what version it is.

My kids are okay readers. My 43 yr/o is still hooked on vid games. My 40 yr/o is a responsible, exhausted dad. 3 of my grandkids are voracious readers. The 11 yr/o has read all the Harry Potter and even some political books. He climbed into the car last summer with one of Rush Limbaugh’s kids books. I’m like, “he’ll be fine.” The 13 yr/o is becoming bored with life πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ. Time to ice skate again β›Έβ›ΈπŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ¦½ (or not lol)
