Although I’m sure a DC jury will quicky acquit Danchenko, the real point of the trial was to expose corruption of higher-ups within the FBI. Durham is “climbing the ladder” on a future RICO case.
I believe the Danchenko trial is in Alexandria, Va...
“Danchenko is charged with five counts of lying to the FBI, all of which he’s pleaded not guilty to. The trial, which is in its third day in a federal courtroom in Alexandria, Va., is expected to be the final prosecution for Durham in his probe of the origins of the FBI investigation into Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 election, known as Crossfire Hurricane.”
This trial is in northern Virginia. Possibly this jurisdiction explains why there have been higher hopes for Durham to reap better than his current 0-1, after Sussman.
Am I forgetting Klinesmith? He was guilty but got a wrist slap and I don’t remember if Durham was involved though.
Durham is retired as a U.S.Attorney. He is still SC but that is at the pleasure of the AG.
I don’t foresee him going further(farther?)
