“The Democrats were going for this kind of reaction from Republican-conservatives with their “Russia Russia Russia” play on Trump. They couldn’t make it stick, because nobody on our side believed that pap about President Trump being a Putin puppet.”

Unfortunately, “our side” of the political isle are also good “pap believers.” We also swallow, hook, line and sinker if appropriately conditioned. You could probably count on one hand the number of freepers who have bothered to actually research Putin. Even freepers who openly acknowledge the Ukrainian nazi administration’s evils always couple it with obligatory Putin hate.

I have researched him heavily (like I do everything..:-)
President Trump is right: Putin is a good man and a great leader. I have posted 3 times the long article from a woman who wrote a well researched book outlining hers and others experience with Putin.

I won’t bother posting it again because freepers don’t read...:-) I will send it to you Ransomnote by private message because I know you to be a good, honest person who could benefit from getting the truth about him. Putin hasn’t been a communist for a long time (came to the realization that the system didn’t work) and being in the KGB at the time was highly regarded by Russians who believed they kept Russia safe. Just like Americans felt about Bush being the head of the CIA.

No one tried harder than Putin to be a friend to the West; one kindness after another. Just in this last week one brave freeper listed all the things Putin did over the last 20 years to try to help us at times of trouble. Though he did miss the Covid crisis where Putin called Trump after reading that we were short of something and offered to send it. Trump gratefully accepted the offer and Putin sent it immediately. Twice Putin asked to join NATO but was immediately rebuffed because NATO currently exists to maintain our hegemony and keep “competitors” (read: Russia) down.

But, I will post this message that was just posted. Just another little piece of the puzzle.

RIA News
It was Merkel who persuaded Putin to agree to the Minsk agreements, Stepashin told RIA Novosti.

According to the ex-head of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers, over the years of his presidency, Putin has become “ harder in relation to those who, in fact, deceived him and our country .”

“He changed me as prime minister, and I remember how we thought and hoped that we really became friends with the West in an adult way. I counted on this, both the late Boris Nikolayevich and the president”

Bottom line: We are the bad guys.
