Is this guy a politician? If not I can understand the shooting outside his residence. Otherwise if he’s a Pol for real he would never live in a crime ridden area, he’d have exploited enough to pay for a place in a better neighborhood.

He’s a member of congress who is running for the position of NYS Governor. He lives in a very nice area of Suffolk County in Long Island.

I don’t know what his political history is.

Yes he's a politician. He's running for governor, republican.
Lee Michael Zeldin is an American attorney, politician, and officer in the United States Army Reserve. A Republican, he has represented New York's 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives since 2015.
How about the fact that crime is happening in more and more places, doesn't matter where you live anymore.
