You need to write that book.

I knew Jeff Skilling. At the time I knew nothing about Enron. It was about a year before it all blew up. We had dinner. He was a total gentleman, very smart, very interesting.

Met Tommy Heinson, sat next to him on a plane. Didn’t know who he was. He said he could get me tickets to the Celtics games and wanted to give me tickets for that night. I figured anybody who could do that was on the shady side, maybe with the mob so I declined. (Turns out he was married and had a girlfriend.)

Also met a guitar person on a plane. Sat next to him for a few hours. He was with Aerosmith. What a great time. No, he has not given up alcohol - no way. LOL He was great

My favorite brush with ‘fame’ was when I last minute jumped on an elevator one night in a hotel in Boston and in the elevator were about 7 or 9 very tall black men. I was started and said, What is this, a basketball team? They nodded yes. OMG I said wow, what are you doing here in Boston? Yes, that was a dumb question although probably not as bad as the earlier question. They responded they had just played the Celtics. Unfortunately, I said, did you win? No. I was stunned and hit the button for the 3rd floor. That was a good thing. There were two women on the elevator with them who were giving me the evil eye.

I have more stories too, maybe about Alan Dershowitz and ... but none of them can compare with wardaddy’s stories.

I forgot to mention an old work buddy of mine from years ago, Mike O’Callaghan. He wasn’t famous when I worked with him but he ended up governor of Nevada and they later named they bridge around the Hoover Dam after him. When I’d say to him, “Wow - you’re a governor” he’d say, no big deal, not a lot of people live in Nevada.

Mike was one of the most decent people I’ve known. Yes, he was a liberal but in all my dealings with him he was a good guy. He loved our country and served in the Marines, the Army and Air Force. They named the VA Medical Center at Nellis after him.
