The subject of abortion is the best example of how irrational leftists are.
They start with the absurd position that it is a woman’s health decision and therefore nobody else’s business.
I argue that the fetus is a human being - and if you’re killing a human being - that’s everyone’s business.
They won’t agree to that - they say the fetus is merely biological matter that has the potential of becoming a human being at some future point.
I say ok, then would you at least agree that after that future point abortion is killing a human being and therefore should be illegal?
They refuse to define that point - what number of weeks - and say that’s for doctors and scientists to define. By refusing to define that point they think they have won the argument.
I ask them if, say, an eight month old fetus is a human being yet.
They usually get angry and return to their initial absurd position that it’s not anyone else’s business what a woman does with her own body.
Then they get even angrier if you point out their circular reasoning.
Then ask them, if a pregnant woman is shot and killed, should the shooter be charged with one or two murders? I guarantee, that a majority of them will say two.
They start with the absurd position that it is a woman’s health decision and therefore nobody else’s business.
At that point, I think, “fine, when asked by St. Peter why you destroyed the life that was developing inside you, what are you going to say to him, that it wasn’t his business?”
I’m not going to even try to debate them.
