You would have gotten along great with my first college roommate.

Yet somehow Donna Summer was inductedDude. Donna Summmer ROCKED.
Along with Kraftwerk, Giorgio Morodor (who worked closely with Donna) was the father of Electronic, Techno, and Industrial, which gave rise to my favorite band of all time, Nine Inch Nails
Nully is a Donna fan.

Screw Jann Wenner. He or she is putting people like Dolly Parton, Harry Belafonte, and Eminem in there. Selling T-shirts and "merch" every year. What a joke.
Rock was never about getting voted into a HoF.

Nothing against Bon Jovi, but I’d consider Boston, Foreigner, and other bands from the late ‘70s more worthy.

Not being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a badge of honor.I'm a Musicians Hall of Fame fan myself.

The best acceptance speech ever at the RRHOF was Alex Lifeson of Rush.

My favorite bands in college were Lamb-Lies-Down era Genesis, and some of the new wave stuff coming out: Newman, Talking Heads, stuff like that.
But when Nine Inch Nails hit, I left everything behind for Trent Reznor. AMAZING artist.

Hot Stuff had a good guitar solo by Skunk Baxter.

I do give them credit for their album titles.

Renegade was a big favorite back then.
To: Tired of Taxes
Boston was a game-changer, totally redefined how to record a record.

Definitely what I’d call ‘a head turner’, for various reasons. I could only take one minute and five seconds.
Even though I don’t normally sing in Norweigian, that verse sounded flat or off key to me. The guitar riffs were going twice as fast as the vocals. Interesting. Not the most telegenic trio. No one would confuse them with the PussyCatDolls or The Go Gos.
