Utica Club! That barely existed in Connecticut when IO last saw it 40 years ago. It was okay, though for upstate NY beer we’d get Genessee.

I was partial to Sam Adams and Goose Island, but I liked imports like Heineken and Belgian Ales. Negro Modelo was good, too, when I could find it.

Modelo is all over the place here in Phoenix. Sam Adams is good, as long as you don’t get one of their silly limited runs. I still like Heineken, but also Peroni.

Small batch beer, small batch coffee. It is the way to make the highest quality. I don’t want to drink Bud.

Genese, Rolling Rock and PBR still going strong.

In the 80s, the name (and maybe the formula) got bought, and it was brewed in Ohio. It hung around, but never got its old following back, certainly not in NY/northeast, where it was huge.
I haven't seen it in over 25 years, and I don't see a path for a successful return.Inexpensive U.S. Tuborg ($1.79/six in 1985) is gone, too.

If you like it for the banana then try a Kloster Andechs. Better yet, go on a pilgrimage to the Holy Mountain of Bavaria and try them all.

Don’t touch my Hacker-Pschorr WeissbierI am an ardent fan of Weissbier but have not had that particular one. The only problem I have is that I detest fruit in beer and have developed the habit, when ordering of threatening bodily mutilation if they go anywhere near my fine beer with any kind of fruit.

Thanks. That’s really funny.
