indeed ... pretty much anything metal soaked by seawater is hosed ... can’t imagine how destructive such a soaking would be to EV batteries made by soldering thousands of small 1.5v cells together ...

Sea water does amazing things.... Wonder if this could be solved by car-boats in magazines like Popular Science and Popular Mechanics in the late 50s and early 60s. (Not the flying car ones). Amphicars.
